The 2026 Phenomenology Symposium, aka "PHENO", a particle physics & astrophysics symposium hosted by PITT-PACC (Dietrich School), was held 10-13 May in David Lawrence Hall, Alumni Hall, and William Pitt Union. 320 physicists from 30 states and 17 countries were in attendance, as well as 20 online participants, delivering over 220 presentations. VIPs, both internal and external, were present; e.g. Vice-Chancellor Rob Rutenbar, DSAS Dean Adam Leibovich, and Chancellor Emeritus Patrick Gallagher, as well as National Science Foundation's Keith Dienes, former FermiLab Director of Theoretical Physics & Director of the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics Marcela Carena, and Executive Vice-Chancellor of UC-San Diego Elizabeth Simmons.
Immediately after PHENO, a special 2-day event was held in honor of Prof. Tao Han, Distinguished Professor of Particle Physics and Chair of PHENO, called TaoFest, which was held in Benedum Hall, Allegheny Observatory and William Pitt Union. 80 participants (mostly invited guests who were already attending PHENO) attended the solely-in-person event.
