The 2026 showcase of the Artists in Residence Program was held Friday, April 10 at 3pm in the Frick Fine Arts Auditorium. The Co-directors of the program are Andrew Mugler (Physics and Astronomy) and Kevin Kohl (Biology).
The Artists in Residence Program connects students in the creative arts departments with research groups in the sciences. Working with a faculty advisor from their department, the students embed themselves in the groups and create a piece that responds to the science. This is the 10th year the program has run. The program began in 2016, by now Dean Adam Leibovich, and has supported 62 students to date. This year, for the first time, students are working with research groups from both Physics and Astronomy and Biological Sciences. This year, we had two musical performances, a video performance from the Theater Department, and five student presentations about their visual art.
