Spring Term 2022
The Resource Room is where Graduate Teaching Assistants are able to help students in introductory physics and astronomy classes. The purpose of this is to assist students in such a way that they can work independently, each being giving fair attention and not simply given the answers. Please note the Resource Room will remain open for limited hours during midterms and final week.
Hours begin Tuesday, January 18, 2022 for the Spring 2022 semester.
Meetings are remote or in-person as labeled below. Remote hours are held via the Physics and Astronomy Discord. In-person hours are in 312 Thaw Hall. No apppointments are required. Eligible classes will distribute the invitation link during the first few weeks of class. If you need the invitation after this period, or if you have any questions, please email the Undergraduate Coordinator, Mary Weiher, at email@example.com.
2/28/2022 Update: Some users reported having issues accessing the Discord recently. If basic troubleshooting isn't working (try a different browser, try the app, reinstall discord, etc.), please let the UG Coordinator know at firstname.lastname@example.org and follow the below instructions.
For Users unable to access the Discord: Please email one of our TAs and they will reply as soon as they are available during their next scheduled time.
For TAs unable to access the Discord: You will only be responsible for assisting via email whenever Discord is down. Please let the UG Coordinator know at email@example.com when this happens so a notice can be added to the Discord and/or schedule.
