I am working on studying post-starburst galaxies that have recently quenched their primary epoch of star formation at z~0.6 as a part of the SQuIGGLE Survey. I am using imaging and spatially resolved spectroscopy to study how quenching transforms these galaxies’ morphological structure and stellar populations. By comparing to simple galaxy models, I hope to constrain the conditions under which these starbursts occurred and better understand the transition galaxies undergo from star-forming to quiescent.
