Dr. Andrew Mugler and Michael Vennettilli win 2022 APS Irwin Oppenheim Award

Please join me in congratulating Andrew Mugler and his student Michael Vennettilli who have won the 2022 Irwin Oppenheim Award from the American Physical Society, "For demonstrating the trade-offs associated with feedback-induced criticality in multicellular sensing, through analysis of simple models, which is published in the article entitled ‘Multicellular sensing at a feedback-induced critical point’ in Physical Review E 102, 052411 (2020)."

They are joined by their co-author Amir Erez (Hebrew University, Jerusalem). The Oppenheim Award is for the best paper of the year in Physical Review E by young authors no more than 12 years past Ph.D.
