Title: Gravitational wave are for real, now what?

Abstract: The recent detection of gravitational waves has officially marked the beginning of ``gravitational wave astronomy''. This detection shows the challenge of detecting such minuscule effect can be met and the future should hold many more exciting opportunities. From the perspective of someone outside the collaboration, this talk will discuss some features of the detection, analysis and consequences of this observation together with the stage it has, and has not yet, set.
