The solar eclipse will be partial here in Pittsburgh. Come view it at the observatory!

We will use the 13" telescope and a view screen to create a projection of the sun. In addition to seeing the moon moving between us and the sun, we will likely see sunspots.

The Shadow Bandits, a research team from the University of Pittsburgh, will be in Texas and launching a set of weather balloons with equipment to study the eclipse. We will have a live feed from them playing.
