Congratulations to the Pitt chapter of Society of Physics (SPS) for being named a 2024-2025 Distinguished Chapter by the American Institute of Physics!

According to the SPS Website, "The SPS Outstanding, Distinguished, and Notable Chapters are determined each year by the SPS Council through careful review of the SPS chapter reports. Designations are made based on chapter involvement in local, zone, and national SPS meetings, participation in SPS programs, outreach efforts, student recruitment, and interaction with their department and department alumni. To earn these designations, SPS chapters are encouraged to stay active and engaged by participating in an array of activities."
