This football season, keep an eye out for NASA at NFL games!
Led by NASA administrator Jared Isaacman, NASA is embarking on its Inspiration Tour, intended to raise public interest and engagement with NASA's upcoming projects. According to Isaacman, “We’re returning to the Moon, building a Moon Base, advancing fission-powered spacecraft, and pushing the boundaries in aeronautics, science, and discovery. Achieving those ambitions will take the very best of America, and partnering with the NFL gives us an incredible platform to inspire the next generation to look up and imagine the possibilities.”
The Inspiration Tour was present at the Steelers vs. Atlanta Falcons on September 13th, where two students from Physics and Astronomy - recent graduate Giana Deskevich and current major Alexa Marcoz - had the opportunity to speak and meet with him. Both Giana and Alexa have received support from the NASA Pennsylvania Space Grant Consortium to conduct research in the Department of Physics and Astronomy.
