Code of Conduct Town Hall

This summer, members of the Department of Physics and Astronomy held a series of meetings focused primarily on how we can help increase the participation of members of under-represented and historically marginalized groups in our department. A key resource in this process was the American Institute of Physics' TEAM-UP report (https://nam12.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ai...). Based on these discussions, establishing a code of conduct for members of and visitors to the department — students, staff, and faculty — emerged as the top priority. In this meeting, members of the department’s Equity and Inclusion Committee will present a draft code of conduct and solicit feedback on how it can be improved to help insure that the environment in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Pittsburgh meets the highest standard of professionalism.
